Meet deAnn

Hello ~ I'm deAnn, an artist that enjoys many different creative avenues. I love the contemplative nature of photography, especially macro photography. To see everyday things in extraordinary ways invites me into a world I rarely take time to explore. Writing is another favorite creative outlet. I learn more about myself and can see God's presence in my life as I write from my own memories. I feel called to journey beside others who want to deepen their relationship with Jesus through the exploration of their own creative life. I'm employed at Living Word Community Church as the Director of Creative Arts, which provides me with many opportunities to care for the heart of the artist, to encourage creativity in the emerging artist, and celebrate their work through art exhibits at the Gallery @ Common Grounds. Being a Spiritual Director, I am blessed to walk beside people who seek to know God more intimately - and so often the vehicle used to do so is the arts. My husband and two teenage boys bring me incredible joy and excitement, as does our saltwater puffer fish, aptly named, Puffer.
